Ruth Rodgers, B.A., B.ED., M.C.E.
Teaching & Learning Specialist, Innovation Centre, Durham College/UOIT

Ruth brings more than 25 years of experience in the post-secondary sector as a faculty member, curriculum designer, faculty developer, and lifelong learner. Her B.A. and B.Ed. degrees are in English and Psychology, but her Master's program focused on how people learn at work. Ruth has also completed studies in midwifery and horticulture. She recently spent time studying teaching practices in Australia and New Zealand, where she managed to fit in visits to all the filming sites of The Lord of the Rings! Ruth is especially interested in supporting faculty in developing their professional identities as educators, and in enhancing and growing their teaching practice. When not thinking about teaching, Ruth spends her time painting or gardening at her country home, which she shares with her husband, two dogs, and three cats, and welcoming her extended family of five adult children and three grandchildren.
